Only four days remain before Adele returns together with her much-anticipated new LP 25, and after this the singer stopped by Sirius XM to get a wide-ranging interview about her influences, motherhood and her upcoming album. “It took it’s origin from us being older, and coming to a party only at that house, and seeing everyone you’ve ever fallen out with, everyone that you’ve got ever loved, everyone you’ve never loved, and stuff like that, that you can’t find enough time to be in the other lives,” Adele said on the track, that has been co-written by Tobias Jesso Jr. “And you’re all thrown together when it reaches this party when you are like 50, and yes it doesn’t matter and you’ve got so much fun and you are feeling like you’re 15 again. Adele said that her favorite lyric about the track is “You appear to be a movie / You appear to be a song / My god this reminds me of after we were young.”
Adele also brought up which current artists she hears as well as her go-to album when she’s sad. “I like Chvrches a great deal. I like Grimes a whole lot. Those are those who are my personal favorites that are relatively recent,” Adele said. “I seek to listen to music that could uplift me but I don’t really interact with it. So mainly, Jeff Buckley. And that’s been playing I’ve done that. I remember receding with my mother when I was like seven and enjoying Jeff Buckley, because my mom would be a huge fan. Elsewhere from the Siriux XM interview, the singer also discussed body image, her favorite part about like a mom and promised that they will perform shows simply 25. “I will likely be doing U.S. shows, a minimum of as many I did last time, which wasn’t a large number of, so avoid getting too excited,” Adele joked, referencing her 2012 U.S. tour that had been canceled because of vocal cord hemorrhage.
